Save Sadie's Hips!

To all my friends & fellow bloggers--my Aunt Tessa's sweet puppy dog, Sadie, was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia at a very young age. Aunt Tessa has entered her in a contest & if she wins they will get money towards her hip replacement surgery & get to donate $10,000 to OSU veterinarian teaching hospital in Sadie's name. My Aunt Tessa & Uncle JJ are both OSU alumni--so if you are an OSU fan,(like my daddy--he got to rub a recent basketball game in my mama's face...but we won't talk about that) help make the OSU pup #1. And even if you aren't, please vote anyways to help Sadie & my Aunt Tessa! It just takes a minute to vote (all you really need to fill out is the profile & then go to Sadie's picture to vote).
Please go to http://bissell.com/mvp_petDetail.aspx?id=8590065046 to vote!
And go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGpqeO48kG0 to watch Sadie's story.
Thanks Everyone!
Love, Max

Friends & Fevers

Last weekend Max's friend Avery Henson came down from KC to visit! It was the first time they had seen each other since Avery moved & the two kiddos had a lot to catch up on. They had fun playing in Max's room & showing off their crawling & walking skills. I think Avery had a little cold/runny nose, & I'm not sure if there was some smooching going on when the moms weren't looking, because a few days later Max developed a runny nose, cough, and then his first fever! Hmmm...
You could definetly tell Max did not feel well--he was very fussy and did not sleep at all the first few nights (I thought you were supposed to sleep more when you were sick--no one gave Max that memo). Last night was a little better & I think he finally stopped running fevers--hurray.
Here are some pics of the two little munchkins playing

Walking boy!

Max has been taking a few steps for almost 2 months now--but just in the last week he has really started to get the walking thing down. He has also now finally started crawling (he was a little late on that, but better late than never!). I guess now we really have to start babyproofing the house! He already broke a new vase my mom had given me :-( (I'm sure it won't be the last either).

Night Owl

So last night Max would not go to sleep! His usual bedtime is 8:30 or 9:00, which is already pretty late for a 9 month old. Yesterday he only took 1 short nap, but for some reason he refused to go to bed. He didn't fall asleep until 11:45, and Mom was more than exhausted by that time, especially since she knew she had to get up early for work in the morning. Luckily, tonight we hit the hay by 8:30! Here are some pics of him in his crib when he was supposed to be sleeping!
