Graduation & Father's Day!
This past weekend was a very busy one for the Shipman Family. Friday & Saturday we had festivities for Jeff's Residency Graduation. He still has 4 more ER shifts as a resident & then next month he will be an attending! We are all so proud of him! Then of course Sunday was Jeff's first father's day! We went out to brunch & then grilled out for dinner, then we had a late father's day celebration at Arcadia Lake with the Smiths on Tuesday. Jeff got a gift certificate to Cabela's (a hunting & fishing store), and a golf towel with Max's picture on it! We all had loads of fun!
This is Friday night before the "roast" (the graduates get roasted by the attendings & vice versa). No, Jeff was not trying to dress up as Ronald McDonald...a bunch of the guys decided to be funny & go get "pimp suits" at a great store in town called GQ Fashions. I guess we all know what Jeff will be next year for Halloween!

Chillin' at the house on father's day
Max loves his dad!
Even though Max is a pro at going to the lake by now, this was the first time the water was warm enough to get in. He hates putting his lifejacket on at first, but once he's in the water he just floats on his back & really loves it!!!
That really is Max under there!

Sleepover
Recently the Henson family were "homeless" in OKC. They had already moved out of their house but had to stay in town for Chuck to finish his residency requirements. So while Chuck was working one night, Avery & Megan came over for a sleepover! The kiddos had fun hanging out together for their last hurrah!
Max is being a gentleman at first...
Then he goes in to "cop a feel!" Bad Max, you kids are too young! (But Avery doesn't seem to mind)

Grand Lake--Hot tubbing!
Max discovered a new love--hot tubs! He honestly could have stayed in there hours on end if we would have let him. It was his favorite part of the vacation!

Grand Lake--Friends & Family
This past week we spent having a blast at Grand Lake! We had so much fun boating, wakeboarding, surfing & spending time with friends & family. Max loved his naps on the boat & all the attention throughout the week!Bill & Kerry came all the way from Pennsylvania to meet Max!
Max finally got to meet Uncle JJ, doesn't he look like such a pro holding him!

BBQ fun
Last night we had lots of friends over for a backyard BBQ to bid farewell to the Hensons:-(. The adults enjoyed burgers while the babies feasted on some delicious milk. Max only has 1 more week with Avery in town so he had to get in some quality time!

Splish Splash!
Here's a video of Max's favorite nighttime activity--bathtime! His first few weeks of life he hated baths, he cried from start to finish. But now Max loves to hang out splishin' & splashin' in the tub, and he hates to get out! Rub a Dub Dub!
All dressed up!
