Soon to be world traveler!

We recently went to apply for Max's passport, because we will be traveling to Jamaica in January for Nicole & Grant's wedding (yay--can't wait!). I didn't even know babies had to get passports, but they do & they're only good for 5 years. Both parents have to go apply, I guess so one parent doesn't take their child & then try to take them out of the country without the other parent knowing. Anyways, the guy gave us an extra passport pic & I thought it was pretty cute so I wanted to post it. Check out Dad's hand in the bottom of the pic!
Jamaica here we come!

Yummy cereal!

Max recently started eating his 1st solid food--yummy rice cereal! He's had it several times now & each time he gets a little better at it, he now opens his mouth in anticipation of the next bite. Here's some pics from his very first time eating. Waitress...one order of rice cereal please.

I'm getting some of it in my mouth

Texas trip

This past weekend we ventured to Richardson, TX (outside of Dallas) to stay with Aunt Andie, Uncle Jason & Cousin Tucker, and then went to cousin Davy's wedding in Gainesville on Saturday. We got to see lots of family, and Max and Tucker wore matching outfits all weekend! They were too cute and numerous people asked if they were twins :-)Cousin Holly holding the boys (Max is flashing the peace sign)
Little froggies holding hands!

Tucker can't believe Aunt Erica made it all the way from Charleston!

Who is Cousin Will's favorite? He can't decide...

Oh no, our moms caught us!

Tucker is wiped out by the end of the night, but Max is still ready to party--a true Shipman!

Rollin' over!

Finally caught Max on camera rolling over. He's getting pretty good at the tummy to back rolling over but still having difficulty with the other way around--he gets hung up on his shoulder. Sorry, not the best filming job but you'll get the idea.

Hanging with mom

So this past week mom has been off work, so I have enjoyed hanging out at home with her. We go on walks, run errands, and she tries real hard to get stuff done at home, but mostly I want her to hold me & play with me, so she usually doesn't get too much accomplished. But oh well, laundry can always wait...I'm much too cute to resist. Who's the Big Kahuna? Oh that's right, I am.

Mama, pick me up! You know I don't like to lay here by myself!
Okay, I played by myself for a whole minute...your turn to entertain me
Daddy rocks, but he's at work so you'll have to do
