Christmas pics

We had a great time celebrating Christmas--first Christmas morning in Edmond, then it was off to Claremore & then Enid. The roads were still pretty bad, but we made it to see both families safe & sound. Santa brought Max lots of great presents and 3 different stockings--he must have been a good boy!

A very white Christmas!

Well Oklahoma is sure gonna have a white Christmas! There is actually a blizzard going on right now and they've declared a "state of emergency" and all the highways are closed. Not sure how Dad is going to get to work tonight...(they never close ERs and we are expected to be there no matter what!). Hopefully they will have the roads cleared by tomorrow am so we can travel to see our families! Max hopes Santa can still make it through the blizzard to Edmond tonight--I bet he can, he's used to this weather at the North Pole! Here's some pics from today & the past couple days. The view from our front door--Jeff has got some major driveway shoveling to do!

C'mon Mom, lets go outside & build snowmen!
It doesn't look that cold!
A snowball! I've never seen one of these before!
Delicious!

HoHoHo! and the missing sock.

We took Max to see Santa last night & he loved it! He tried to pull Santa's beard a little, but other than that he was a perfect angel--no crying! We had a little sock drama when we first got there to stand in line & I realized that Max only had on one of his cute Christmas socks. I didn't know whether to take the other one off & have him barefoot, or have Santa try & cover up his one barefoot. First we sent Dad back to retrace the steps from the car & to look in Max's carseat for the missing sock, but alas that was unsuccessful. When Dad got back, we were still a few deep in line, so I decided to send him into the Baby Gap that was right next to Santa, and luckily he made it back with some cute striped socks just in time!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

I can say Mama! (when I'm in the mood)

So Max has been talking a lot lately, he says "Mama, mama" all the time. Not sure if he realizes who Mama is, but he sure likes to say it. In this 1st video he was talking until we turned the camera on, then he got camera shy (or ornery--one of the two!).

Okay, here's Mama take II...

Getting ready for Christmas

We have been gearing up for Christmas--putting up the Christmas tree & decorations, and shopping for gifts. Jeff opted not to put up any outside lights this year, but I can't really blame him because he did so much work with the move. We plan on going to visit Santa sometime this week. In front of the finished tree

We're lucky he can't crawl yet...or there would be lots of broken decorations!

Lots of news & lots of pics!

We have been super busy around the Shipman house, so we needed to update the blog on all our adventures! We moved to Edmond the day before Thanksgiving and then hosted Turkey Day dinner for both of our families the very next day! We love our new house and Max loves his new, bigger room--but we still have a lot of work shopping, decorating, organizing & unpacking to do! Max and Mom have made 2 trips recently in preparation for Nicole and Grant's wedding. 1st it was off to Little Rock for a shower & bachelorette party, and then to Wichita for another wedding shower. Max is almost 8 months old and he is still not crawling, but he gets around by rolling, loves to sit-up and play with toys, and just recently can stand unassisted for a few seconds! He is also getting 2 teeth on the bottom, so we have been trying to teach him not to bite!

Please pack me! I want to go too!
Here are my toothers!

Fall Fun

A few days ago Daddy was working hard out in our back yard, raking, trimming trees & pulling weeds. Max decided to go outside & "help." He loved playing with the leaves & even trying to eat them!

This is a pic of Max & Olive the night of their sleepover. Olive and her family were driving through OKC on their way from Wichita to Texas for a wedding, and stopped to stay overnight with us. The kiddos were pretty tired and ready for bed by the time we broke the camera out--but they had fun together while big brother Colin was already passed out asleep!

Cutest cow in town!

We traveled to Stillwater for Halloween (and the Texas game...which we won't talk about). We all enjoyed the great weather, Max grazed while mom & dad tailgaited! He was definetly the cutest cow we've ever seen!

Moooooooo!
