MIA Max

Okay...so we've been MIA from the blog lately, but here's an overview of what Max has been up to.  One of his favorite things to do is to turn the computer off while Mom is working on it...hence one of the reasons we haven't been blogging (he once turned it off after Mom had been working on a power point for work for 3 hours--thank God for autosave--only lost 20 mins of work instead of 3!).

Yummmmm, birthday cake!!!

The boys washing off all that cake!
Max at his 1 year appt! He weighed in at 25 lbs (wouldn't be surprised if he had gained 2 more lbs since--the boy can eat!)--90% and 31 inches--95%

...and After! He thought it was funny & tickled & he just looked at the screaming kid next to us like he was crazy for crying.

One of the few pics we captured both boys sort of smiling...getting two 1 year olds to cooperate for photo ops is pretty difficult:-)

Birthday Boy!

Who can believe my little baby is one?!  The big celebration will be on Saturday--with lots more pictures to come, but today we had a lot of fun as well.  We gave opened a few presents, Max & Meggie hung out while Mom & Dad had work stuff to do.  We ate lunch with Papa & Great Aunts Bea & Patti at Cracker Barrell, Max & Mom played at the park, and then we had cake!  Lots more celebration to come, but we got things off to a great start today.

Yummy!
Lots more B-day stuff to come! (Mom's I-Phone is messing up so we only get the stuff on the regular camera for now)

Happy Easter!

Max had a wonderful 1st Easter! The Easter Bunny stopped by and left him a basket full of eggs (he didn't care what was inside--as long as there was something in there for him to make noise when he shook them), bananas (his favorite food), and sweet potato puffs!  Then it was off to Claremore to go to church & see CeCe, Papa, Nanabear & Aunts Bets & KT!  We got more eggs & lots of great food!  We hope you all had a great Easter Sunday!

Maxless Vacay

Mom & Dad recently went on our first vacation without little Max. He was in the extremely capable hands of Grandma Cece, who had lots of help & fun with him in Claremore. We enjoyed time at the pool, golfing, gambling & eating at nice restaurants! It was a lot of fun but we loved to come home to our cute little munchkin! I swear he grew in the 5 days we were gone!
Here's Mom & Dad on the strip!

Isn't he precious?!

Hi everyone!
Fun in the sun--hope the great weather here lasts!

Happy 1st Birthday Tucker!!!

Today is cousin Tuck's BIG 0-1!!! We celebrated this past weekend with a "Rock and Roll" B-day party for him here in Edmond--and everyone a rockin' time!

Here's the Birthday Boy with his "RockStar" smash cake--he thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

Here's the guitar cake that Andie & Aunt Staci spent lots of hours on!

Here's Max guarding the door to make sure no one that was not on the list was allowed access in!

Here are the two little ones after a hard day of partying! I think they're ready for bed!

Save Sadie's Hips!

To all my friends & fellow bloggers--my Aunt Tessa's sweet puppy dog, Sadie, was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia at a very young age. Aunt Tessa has entered her in a contest & if she wins they will get money towards her hip replacement surgery & get to donate $10,000 to OSU veterinarian teaching hospital in Sadie's name. My Aunt Tessa & Uncle JJ are both OSU alumni--so if you are an OSU fan,(like my daddy--he got to rub a recent basketball game in my mama's face...but we won't talk about that) help make the OSU pup #1. And even if you aren't, please vote anyways to help Sadie & my Aunt Tessa! It just takes a minute to vote (all you really need to fill out is the profile & then go to Sadie's picture to vote).
Please go to http://bissell.com/mvp_petDetail.aspx?id=8590065046 to vote!
And go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGpqeO48kG0 to watch Sadie's story.
Thanks Everyone!
Love, Max

Friends & Fevers

Last weekend Max's friend Avery Henson came down from KC to visit! It was the first time they had seen each other since Avery moved & the two kiddos had a lot to catch up on. They had fun playing in Max's room & showing off their crawling & walking skills. I think Avery had a little cold/runny nose, & I'm not sure if there was some smooching going on when the moms weren't looking, because a few days later Max developed a runny nose, cough, and then his first fever! Hmmm...
You could definetly tell Max did not feel well--he was very fussy and did not sleep at all the first few nights (I thought you were supposed to sleep more when you were sick--no one gave Max that memo). Last night was a little better & I think he finally stopped running fevers--hurray.
Here are some pics of the two little munchkins playing
